Co-founding a startup ✅

As some in my social circle had already heard, I left my job as a senior software engineer at a well-known German software scale-up at the beginning of this year to pursue a new goal. I am now the technical co-founder of Sunhat, an automation-focused software company founded to rethink sustainability compliance from the ground up. We have been in stealth mode until now. Well, not anymore!

As you can imagine it is a huge challenge to build a software company from zero to hero. There are both technical and non-technical challenges past and ahead of us. But they are absolutely worth tackling as we want to create a meaningful product which attempts to solve a real pain. And it should still be fun: still too young to do a job which I do not like (which is a huge privilege!).

Like before, I will still blog about stuff which is not necessarily related to the work I do at Sunhat: topics like career development, software engineering, frameworks like Angular and random stuff like fixing old Xbox controllers.

What’s it like on the other side

However, I am curious to hear from you if there are topics you would like me to cover when it comes to building a company like Sunhat as a technical person. Let me know in the comments or leave me a note :) Until then - thanks for your attention and take care!
